The Social Centre has several spaces for hire which can be booked independently or together depending on the needs of your event.
Large / main Hall
A large 180 sqm hall that is available for everything from birthday parties to local plays. The hall seats 220 on its own and can be opened up to the small hall to extend its capacity further.
Small Hall
Next to the large hall we have a smaller 65 sqm hall. This is suitable for smaller groups and meetings. It seats 90.
Combining the Large and Small Halls
The divide between the halls can be removed to give free flowing access to both spaces. This creates a total capacity of 360 for a larger event.
Small Meeting Room
Since its refurbishment, the office is now available for hire to regular users as a small meeting room. It is 20sqm and can seat approximately 12 people. The room includes some office equipment. The office may not be suitable for all groups but please enquire if its of interest.
Other areas & facilities
We also have a full kitchen which is included in every hire (may be shared if more than one hirer in the building at once), tables and 200 chairs, and a raised stage all included in the hire. Our carpark can take 30 cars or more if managed appropriately by the hirer.

Costs
Costs for hiring the social centre vary depending on the space required, day of the week, and whether the group qualifies for a concessionary rate because it is a charity or a children's party.
As a guide, the small hall for a children's party for an hour is £18. Hiring the large and small halls together for day on Saturday (9am-11:45pm) is £350.
